Artificial Skill

Artificial skill is a set of adjustments to a specific part of how you play that you don’t necessarily understand yet, but makes you better than others at the same level. Every coaching video promises this — the gap is in how you apply the information, not whether you have it.

Step 1: Imitation

Find someone widely considered best at what you want to improve, and identify small things they do differently from you.

The goal is to acquire the target player’s sense of priority and execution for your own gameplay, while getting a visible improvement target so you don’t get frustrated.

Step 2: Mechanization by Iteration

Don’t just “play more.” Playing more while repeating the same mistakes teaches nothing. Instead, repeat new things you observed in Step 1.

Deadlock demands multiple skill types simultaneously: FPS aim, MOBA macro, movement mechanics, and mental resilience (all chat). You can’t improve all at once. Pick one skill per session and drill it in live games.

Step 3: Fearless Learning

If you’re afraid of making plays because they might lose the game or get you flamed, you will not improve. Learning requires making mistakes, and only players at your skill level can punish those mistakes.
